Travel Information
The E-shape meeting will be held in the CNR Research Area inside the Polo Scientifico Universitario, a few kilometers northwest of Florence, near the Amerigo Vespucci airport and the A1 and A11 motorways exits.
The nearest airport is Aeroporto Amerigo Vespucci.
FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE CITY CENTRE
From the airport you can easily reach the city centre and the train station Santa Maria Novella thanks to a shuttle bus that leaves every 30 minutes from 6 am up to 11.30 pm.
FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE CNR RESEARCH AREA
The airport is about 5 km far from the Conference location. You can reach CNR Research Area by taxi.

BY BUS FROM SANTA MARIA NOVELLA STATION

Get the Tram line T2 at ALAMANNI (stop 2 on map 1), on the left side of the train station. Tram line T2 runs roughly every 5-10 minutes from 5:06 am up to 11.58 pm.

BY TRAIN
In alternative, you can get off at the railway station, Zambra, which is located on the Firenze-Prato-Pistoia line. From there you can walk to the Area di Ricerca in about 15 minutes. Exit the station using the subway on the Sesto Fiorentino (North) side and turn left down the stairs. Proceed straight ahead in Via Neruda. Once crossed the second roundabout move left a few steps and turn right into Via dei Giunchi. After crossing a small bridge you will be able to see the Research Area buildings on your left. Move forward up to the crossroad and turn left into Via Madonna del Piano to reach the entrance.
