Share your models in a flexible and smart way
How it works
Smart
The VLab moves your code next to data running it on the preferred cloud infrastructures including Amazon AWS, the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) and Copernicus DIAS. If you need data that are not available on the clouds you can still access them from external data systems or package them with your code.
Flexible
The VLab adopts the Docker containerization technology allowing you to use your preferred programming environment or simulation frameworks. The VLab was successfully used to run scientific models written in Python, Java, Netlogo, etc.
Disclaimer
The VLab is an experimental platform designed by the Earth and Space Science Informatics Laboratory of CNR-IIA and developed in the context of European projects and international initiatives with the collaboration of several partners and a special contribution by the University of Geneva, Switzerland and by the European Space Agency (ESA).
